Bike the Trail
Lock in Sunday March 4th 2018 for the annual Bike the Trail. Enjoy an awesome day out cycling along one of the country’s best trails – the Hutt River Trail! Family Water Day
Bring the kids along to the Harcourt Park paddling pool for some fun around the water on Waitangi day (Tuesday 6 February) from 11am-1pm. The Activation team will be there with their famous slip and slides. Pack the togs, sunblock and a picnic and we will see you there.
Hapkido and Medievil Sword Fighting
People have many reasons for their interest in the martial arts. Some are drawn to the physical fitness and weight-loss aspects of training. Others seek to add discipline and self-control to their lives. Others are concerned about personal safety and self-defence. While others like the camaradie of the classes and meeting with likeminded people. Whether your reason for wanting to learn martial arts, the Upper Hutt Hapkido Academy offers a number of programs that will fit your and/or your family’s needs and your busy schedule as well. HUHA Paws in the Park
Bring a picnic lunch and plastic bags for your dog’s poop. Come for a walk with your dog and explore the beautiful reserves around the Wellington region. Meet at 10am, walk is followed by fun games with your dog.

Kev the Kiwi Walk
Join Greater Wellington Regional Council, Hutt City Council, Upper Hutt City Council and Kev the Kiwi in guided walks through scenic and historical tracks. Suitable for families with young children on buggy friendly tracks – these walks are a must to get out and about this summer.

Come along to Tunnel Gulley on Saturday March 10th for a mountain bike open day with guides in the morning taking people around the trail network tailored to their ability and want – starting at 10am. There will be a BBQ running for lunch at 12 followed by a FUNduro in the afternoon kicking off at 1pm.

Thunderbolts BMX – McLeod Street, Upper Hutt
Prepare yourself for all the excitement you can handle! Hutt Valley Thunderbolts BMX hold club days every fine Thursday evening and is open to all ages.
Come along to the track and have a great time, doing a great family sport. This means that everybody can have a go (with the right gear, of course!).
Registration from 5:30pm, racing starts at 6:00 pm. Hire bikes available for $5.00. Long sleeves, Long Pants, Gloves & helmet must be worn for safety reasons.
Season runs from September through to May. Check the Hutt Valley Thunderbolts BMX Facebook page for updates and any cancellations due to weather conditions.

YIP Water Danish – Wednesday 24 January
Love Danish rounders? Love water slides? Well this Youth In Parks activity could be for you. Based on the YouTube sensation, Activation bring you a game where the bases are paddling pools and the journey between bases is via our super slippery water slides! Fancy a game? Grab your mates and head down to Pinehaven Reserve from 12:30-2:30pm and we will see you there!! The team will be on hand to provide you with a BBQ after you have played.

Want something fun to do outside to keep you cool these holidays? Head down to Moonshine Park between 11am and 1pm and try out Activation’s massive water slide down the stop bank. The team will be on hand cranking some good tunes and will even fire up the BBQ for you!
